Chili’s: Review & Giveaway

Note: I may earn money or products from the companies, products, or links mentioned in this post.

I was so excited to be contacted about this giveaway and review. Growing up, Chili’s was one of my favorite restaurants and even though their menus of changed many times their food is always good! In exchange for the review I was given one gift card to take out to eat and one to giveaway (details below).
Now on to the food! Chili’s has an awesome 2 for $20. deal that allows two people to share an appetizer and for each to get one of the entrees listed on the 2 for $20. menu. I was impressed by the number of choices we could pick from on the 2 for $20 menu because at other restaurants that have similar deals the options are limited to only a couple choices.
There were 5 appetizers and 10 entrees to pick from and they all sounded great! My husband narrowed down our appetizer choices to two and told me to pick one. When I heard the choices, it was no contest I wanted the Texas Cheese Fries!

Yummy fries topped with tons of gooey hot cheese, crumbles upon crumbles of bacon, jalapenos, and ranch dip on the side. It made for a scrumptious appetizer!

Next we decided on our two entrees. My husband almost always gets some kind of chicken we eat out, so it was so surprise to me when he picked the Crispy Chicken Crispers. He was worried about the portion size since they are a version of chicken nuggets, and at other restaurants he has gone away still hungry with the portion of nuggets he got, but this entree was perfect for him.

Delicious crispy chicken (I know because I stole some of his!) with honey mustard dipping sauce on the side, delicious corn-on-the-cob (he really went to town on that corn!), and more yummy french fries.

Then it was my turn to pick. I am very deliberate when I pick from a menu and I like to read all the descriptions of the choices I am looking at to help me narrow down what I want. There were more than a few things that sounded good to me, but I choose the Cajun Chicken Pasta.

Delicious pasta smothered in a garlic Alfredo sauce, topped with juicy grilled chicken, and ripe tomatoes.

And here I am enjoying my delicious Cajun Chicken Pasta!

All-in-all a wonderful dinner, with good service (despite the busyness of the Christmas season) and good food. Even the paper was good.

During our meal I discovered that my son has devoured a piece of the paper I had given him to play with. It must have been good, because he swallowed it before I could get it out!

Chili’s is also doing a really cool promotion right now, just in time for the holidays. It’s called “Shout Out to Eat Out.”

How it works is: you go to shoutouttoeatout.com, tell them who you would like to take to Chili’s with you and why, and upload a photo of you and that person. A winner will be picked every day until December 31st for 2 $20. gift cards to Chili’s.

  1. My husband and I LOVE Chili's so much that, when he's home, we make the trek to the closest one to us (1/2 hour away) to eat there about twice a month. YUM! (in other words, I'd take my husband)

  2. I would probably take my 14 year old son because he is hitting that stage where our time is precious together and any chance we get to be alone is amazing

  3. I would probably take my husband (Date night!) or my best friend who I don't get to spend much time with since we live in different cities…

  4. If I won, I'd take my son Alex on a date. He is seven and in school for most of the day and has recently discovered that I have been sneaking out with my daughter for lunch dates, and a couple of mommy and me play dates. He was so jealous! So, since he misses out on a lot now that he is in school, I think he would be the one to go out with!

  5. I'd definitely take Curtis. Now that he's home I'd love to just be able to take him out… and hopefully we could make it a date night and leave Isaac with a sitter.

Rather than simply posting multiple times I'll just let you know on this one comment:

I would take Hubby for a date night. It is hard for us to have a night out let alone a meal without the twins. Have a great trip to Flordia. See you after the first of the year

  7. I would take my husband–he's been working a lot lately and we need a date night alone together 🙂
